The Agency Executive builds relationships with VIP and Top Partner agents to facilitate ease of doing business. The Agency Executive serves as a single point of contact and resource for VIP and Top Partner agents in navigating & understanding company programs, strategies and tools, and addresses inquiries or escalations. Candidates located in the Western (PST) Region preferred. Responsibilities: • Provides leadership for the agency council and engagement activities. Serves as a key contact for Sales and Distribution leadership to address claim opportunities and trends. • Builds effective relationships with internal and external business partners, agents and or customers to takes ownership, manages with vision and leads The Hartford's staff to successful outcomes and results. • Provides consultation to select VIP and Top Partner at least annually to review the key claim performance indicators for business underwritten. Leverages deep knowledge of The Hartford's Claim and Program products and services to consult agents and brokers. • Mentors and develops less senior team members. • Segments Supported: General Industries, Tech, Large Property, Construction, Marine, Energy, Small Commercial, Personal Lines for VIP and Top Partner Agents and Brokers. • Superior communication skills. • Excellent ability to present virtually and in person to senior leaders and internal and external audiences. • Advanced knowledge of analytical claim data review with demonstrated ability to consult re loss cost containment initiatives through detailed analysis of claim results. • Solid leadership acumen with prior leadership experience preferred along with the ability to influence those in which there is no direct authority. Mentors and develops junior staff. Qualifications: • 10+ years of Property & Casualty insurance experience • Bachelor Degree or equivalent industry experience • Prior sales and leadership experience required • Must reside within assigned geographic region, as face to face interactions are required • Functional expertise in multiline claims with a minimum of 5 years of functional claim experience in one or more of these product lines: Workers’ Compensation, Property, Auto or General Liability (or equivalent experience servicing large or VIP agencies / brokers). • Excellent ability to present virtually and in person to senior leaders and internal & external audiences • Advanced knowledge of analytical claim data review with demonstrated ability to consult re: loss cost containment initiatives through detailed analysis of claim results • Solid leadership acumen with prior leadership experience preferred along with the ability to influence those in which there is no direct authority Location: This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near one of our posted Western Division offices locations will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise. Compensation The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
