Title: Director, Clinical Informatics Location: Remote, USA Hours: M-F Days(8-a-5p) Department: Clinical Informatics About this Opportunity: Avel eCare is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Clinical Informatics to join our team. This leadership role is integral to the design, implementation, adoption, and integration of clinical informatics systems that aim to enhance patient care and improve operational outcomes. The Director will drive strategic initiatives to improve clinical systems, collaborate with internal departments, and stay at the forefront of emerging trends and technologies in clinical informatics. • *Must have an active RN License** Key Responsibilities: • Leadership & Strategy: Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of clinical informatics systems and processes. Establish initiatives to enhance existing systems or integrate new ones, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. • Collaboration & Communication: Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including service lines and customers. Effectively communicate strategies and outcomes to Avel leadership, staff, and clients. • Team Management: Direct and manage the Clinical Informatics team, setting annual goals, monitoring performance, and ensuring objectives are met. Develop and mentor staff to build a high-performing team. • System Implementation & Training: Oversee the implementation of new systems, software, or processes. Manage end-user training, including clinical documentation orientation, and develop super-users by transferring knowledge effectively. • Data & Process Management: Analyze clinical data to guide departmental activities and improve patient care. Modify, interpret, and design clinical systems and processes to optimize outcomes. • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on trends in clinical informatics and apply innovative solutions to operational challenges. Ensure processes are efficient, effective, and in line with best practices. Qualifications: Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent hands-on experience is required. Master's degree preferred. • Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Clinical Informatics management and previous management experience required. • Licenses & Certifications: • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with at least one unrestricted state license is required. • RN Licensure in states where Avel eCare provides services is required within 120 days of hire. • Certification in Clinical Informatics or related specialty is highly preferred. • Membership in a professional organization is preferred. • Competencies & Skills: • Strong leadership and team management capabilities. • Expertise in clinical data analysis, process management, and system design. • Proficient in conflict management, problem-solving, and multi-tasking. • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across departments and levels of the organization. • Strong focus on customer-centric solutions and continuous process improvement. Physical Requirements: • Regularly required to talk or hear; frequently required to sit. • Occasionally required to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks like reaching, stooping, or lifting up to 10 pounds. • Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
