**Experienced 988 Chat/Text Crisis Specialist – Mental Health Support and Crisis Intervention**

Our team is built on a trauma-informed approach, recognizing the importance of understanding, recognizing, and responding to those affected by trauma to strengthen resilience for our clients, staff, and community. **Job Description** As a 988 Chat/Text Crisis Specialist, you will be responsible for: * Providing telephonic or chat clinical screenings and risk assessments * Answering crisis contacts via the chat/text platform to assess for suicide, safety, and identify appropriate community resources to best meet individual needs * Conducting follow-up calls for individuals who are deemed moderate to high risk for suicide * Meeting the ethical and clinical standards in compliance with all accreditation * Actively participating in ongoing supervision, training, and team meetings * Assisting in administrative tasks as needed **Essential Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science, Psychology, Social Work, or related field required; or Certified Peer Recovery Specialist * Six months to one year of related crisis experience is required * Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in-person, and virtual methods * Demonstrates high-level customer service skills and professional etiquette * Knowledge of suicide assessments and skill in providing crisis intervention **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience working in a crisis hotline or mental health setting * Knowledge of trauma-informed care and crisis intervention * Certification in crisis intervention or mental health first aid **Skills and Competencies** * Strong communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively * Knowledge of mental health resources and community services * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information * Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At blithequark, we believe in investing in our employees and providing opportunities for growth and development.
