Job Summary In this exciting role, you will be responsible for empowering data-driven scientific capabilities in a multichannel advertising environment, utilizing inward and external datasets to create insights that inform business cycles and advertising products. You will work closely with cross-functional partners to define and prioritize analysis needs, scope projects, and build new analysis capabilities using SQL, R, Tableau, and other visualization tools to drive business-critical decisions and advancements. Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize audience segmentation models that enable targeting of specific audiences based on brand affinities, application behavior, and video viewership, among other factors Analyze alternative ways to expand audience sizes and depth through lookalike modeling of behaviors within blithequark's network of digital properties Evaluate the performance of models in real-world campaigns and collaborate with the audience modeling team to refine and improve the models Use SQL and other statistical analysis tools (e.g., Python or R) to analyze large datasets representing millions of users to understand user behavior and identify key characteristics that inform the creation of new audience segments and extend the reach of blithequark's advertising across and within platforms Balance business timelines with scientific rigor in statistical analysis to improve business guidance and priorities for the team roadmap Build reporting tools and data pipelines using SQL, Python, and other internal tools to enable self-service for outreach teams and communicate the results of analyses with business partners Essential Qualifications and Abilities To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (Math/Statistics, CS, Engineering, Business, Economics, experimental science, or related) 3+ years of experience driving quantifiable outcomes (revenue, engagement) with digital products across different business models Experience with SQL, complex, large-scale social databases, statistical programs, and other tools with the ability to learn other technical applications quickly to command and interpret quantitative data Experience building complex visualizations (Tableau and Looker a plus) Creative thinker capable of working both in a strategic capacity (10,000-foot view perspective, asks "why") and an operational/execution capacity (thorough, meticulous) Ability to translate quantitative analyses into compelling and actionable recommendations with confidence Excellent interpersonal skills Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: Advanced/graduate degree in a quantitative field Experience in SAS, Python, R, or any scripting language Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
