Key Responsibilities Instructional Duties: Teach classes in various settings, including classrooms, labs, clinical environments, and online platforms. Prepare comprehensive lesson plans and course materials, ensuring alignment with curriculum requirements. Assess student performance objectively, providing constructive feedback to facilitate academic growth. Utilize and monitor learning management systems effectively. Maintain the security and confidentiality of assessment tools and student documentation. Student Interaction: Create a conducive learning environment that promotes engagement and professionalism. Serve as a role model for students, exemplifying the values of respect, integrity, and customer service. Provide regular feedback to students on their academic performance, attendance, and conduct. Identify and address student concerns proactively, referring them to the Program Director or Academic Dean when necessary. Maintain accurate student records, grades, and attendance. Related Duties Outside the Classroom: Participate in ongoing faculty development activities, staying current with best practices in instructional methodology and respiratory therapy standards. Attend staff meetings, faculty meetings, and other campus events as scheduled. Assist with preparations for graduation ceremonies and participate in student and campus activities. Maintain classrooms and equipment, ensuring a neat, orderly, and functional learning environment. Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the institution. Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this role, you must possess: RRT Credential: Registered Respiratory Therapist certification is essential. Minimum Four Years of Experience: A minimum of four years of experience in respiratory therapy is required. Associate Degree: An associate degree is required; a higher degree is preferred. Current State License or Certificate: You must hold a current license or certificate to practice as a respiratory therapist in your state. Prior Teaching Experience: Previous teaching experience is highly preferred, though not mandatory.
