Dispatchers represent the company’s front line, ensuring that every load supports national supply-chain readiness and contributes to our philanthropic mission, Beds for Kids, Inc., which provides beds to families in need across America. Role Description: This is a 1099, remote position for a Freight Dispatcher at Thorsen Logistics Group LLC. As a Freight Dispatcher, your day-to-day responsibilities will include coordinating shipping schedules, engaging directly with drivers and carriers, ensuring timely delivery of freight, and maintaining excellent communication with all parties involved. You will also monitor shipment progress, handle client requests, and address unforeseen challenges, ensuring customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Source and coordinate loads using TLG’s integrated TMS and load board systems Communicate daily with shippers, drivers, and carriers to manage freight movement Issue and track dispatch paperwork (Rate Confirmations, BOLs, PODs, invoices) Ensure accurate documentation and upload through TLG’s compliance portal Monitor shipments, anticipate issues, and proactively manage solutions Represent TLG with professionalism and mission-driven integrity in every interaction Qualifications: Strong phone etiquette and dispatching skills for coordinating logistics and schedules Proven experience in customer service and a commitment to operational excellence Excellent communication skills for interacting with carriers, clients, and team members Ability to remain composed under pressure and solve problems in real time Familiarity with federal or defense logistics processes (or willingness to learn) Self-motivated, disciplined, and capable of working independently DAT or equivalent load board experience preferred TMS experience required Reliable remote work capacity (controlled, focused home environment) Compensation Structure: 2% of total load revenue or 20% of TLG net profit per load (whichever is greater). Payments are made weekly upon completion of each load cycle through verified factoring. $500 Monthly bonus payable for clean paperwork and audit trail Quarterly and Annual performance bonuses based on KPI and complliance Growth Opportunity: High-performing dispatchers may advance to Lead Dispatcher, Operations Coordinator, or Carrier Relations Manager roles as TLG expands its government and defense logistics portfolio. Performance Expectations: • Minimum 10 active loads per week after onboarding • Accurate and timely upload of all required documents (RC, BOL, POD, invoice) • Professional, prompt communication with carriers, clients, and internal teams • Compliance with TLG operating policies, dispatch SOPs, and documentation standards Systems Provided: • Access to TLG’s integrated TMS, DAT load board, and document management suite • Pre-formatted rate confirmations, BOLs, and dispatch forms • Google Workspace and shared company drive for communication and documentation • Dedicated factoring and billing support Thorsen Logistics Group LLC is an equal-opportunity contractor committed to excellence, accountability, and mission-ready logistics.
