Schedule: Full Time Shift: Days (Monday-Friday) Location: Fully Remote The community you’ll be caring for: • Located on a lush tropical campus, our flagship hospital, 1,368-bed AdventHealth Orlando • Serves as the major tertiary facility for much of the Southeast, the Caribbean and South America • AdventHealth Orlando houses one of the largest Emergency Departments and largest cardiac catheterization labs in the country • We are already one of the busiest hospitals in the nation, providing service excellence to more than 32,000 inpatients and 125,000 outpatients each year • The role you’ll contribute: The Institute Registry & Outcomes Nurse collaborates with clinical departments across the organization to help improve quality and outcomes captured to meet national registry guidelines and regulatory requirements. The nurse is responsible for ensuring all clinical outcomes accurately reflect the care provided by all hospitals within AdventHealth Orlando to allow for accurate public reporting. The nurse utilizes previous clinical experience and knowledge to review and make inferences of clinical care, to submit required elements to national registries. The nurse serves as the clinical content expert, within assigned specialty, to review patient health status across the continuum including patient interviews, medical record review, and post-acute tracking as assigned. The nurse is responsible to alert leadership of potential clinical variability or discrepancies of documentation to ensure patients receive evidence-based care. The nurse is responsible for validating and submitting registry harvest reports on behalf of all AdventHealth Orlando facilities (as assigned) to meet regulatory and registry compliance guidelines. The nurse actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. The value you’ll bring to the team: • Responsible for identification of potential clinical registry candidates, confirmation of eligibility and enrollment of patients according to national registry guidelines. • Responsible for serving as clinical content expert to accurately complete registry elements utilizing information from patient interviews, medical records and other data sources to ensure accurate abstraction in compliance with nationally recognized quality patient care processes and clinical outcomes. • Uses critical thinking and independent judgement when conflicting clinical information is present to determine appropriate categorization of data elements and outcomes. • Completes longitudinal patient follow-up as assigned by interviewing and assessing patient health status to meet regulatory and registry requirements. • During patient assessments, must be comfortable navigating complex patient needs and referring to appropriate provider for further care. • Accountable for identifying any potential clinical variability or discrepancies of documentation that vary from national guidelines and benchmarks. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: • Graduate of school of nursing (RN) • 7 years of specialized nursing experience including, but not limited to: critical care, catheterization lab, operating room, recovery room, and other similar settings • Current, valid State of Florida license as a registered professional nurse (RN) • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or other healthcare related discipline (Preferred) • Clinical experience working in a quaternary care hospital system (Preferred) • Experience with national clinical registries as referenced above (Preferred) • CMS regulatory requirements (Preferred) • Surgical Clinical Reviewer (SCR) Training (Preferred) • Data analytics experience, including data analysis and registry harvest (Preferred) • Surgical Clinical Reviewer (SCR) Certification (Preferred) Job : Quality/Clinical Effectiveness Organization : AdventHealth Central Florida Primary Location : US-FL-Orlando Work Locations : 01 VI AH CENTRAL FL VIRTUAL 601 EAST ROLLINS STREET Orlando 32803 Operating Unit: AdventHealth Orl Support Schedule : Full-time Shift : Day Job Travel : No Job Posting : Oct 30, 2025, 10:22:02 PM Sub Function: Registered Nurse
