Marketing & PR Summer Intern

Join The Hartford as a Marketing & PR Summer Intern supporting public relations, content marketing, and digital promotional activities. Your Role Here’s what you will be doing: • Assist with media relations tasks including maintaining earned media coverage lists, tracking industry journalists, and identifying media pitching opportunities • Write media materials such as interview briefings, press releases, and media pitches • Support article creation by outlining, interviewing, gathering feedback, using AI tools, and writing content for the Hartford Funds website • Assist with digital marketing and advertising promotional activities including social media, email, web, and podcast • Assist with trafficking of digital ad creative • Provide support to the website team including design, testing of web pages, and CMS system maintenance • Proofread and edit marketing materials About You The company is looking for: • A student in good standing currently enrolled in college • Strong desire to learn and professional drive • Solid understanding of public relations, marketing, and communication techniques • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; understanding of AP Style is a plus • Excellent knowledge of MS Office • Strong ability to multi-task and handle several projects simultaneously • Willingness to take on new projects and support the team as needed Compensation & Benefits • Annualized base pay range based on external market analysis, subject to variation based on performance and competencies • Base pay is part of The Hartford’s total compensation package including potential short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition How to Apply • Submit your application through the provided link, ensuring all required information is included.
