Metadata Associate

About the position Responsibilities • Create and optimize metadata for the Peacock streaming service. • Proofread and copyedit metadata in both English and Spanish. • Ensure timely delivery of copy for fast-paced content launches. • Enforce style guides and adjust internal standards as needed. • Communicate creative copy specifications to partners and provide style guidance presentations. • Track and report system defects and reliability issues. • Identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to projects. • Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in communication, media, business administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. • 1+ years of editorial copyediting and proofreading experience. • Excellent writing and presentation skills. • Bilingual in Spanish and English. • Ability to write in various styles and adjust for audience and purpose. • Film and television subject matter expertise, with an interest in current events and pop culture. • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple time-sensitive requests in a high-pressure environment. • Working knowledge of digital artwork deliverables and content management systems. Nice-to-haves • Exceptional technical, analytical, organization, research, and presentation skills. • Experience with AirTable. • Familiarity with Gracenote or other metadata aggregation services. • Strong comfort level with taxonomy management and metadata best practices. • Curiosity for consumer insight research and linguistic diversity.
