Technical/Functional Skills
Leads the conceptualization, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of new and existing databases. Provides architectural/database technical expertise to team concerning methods, procedures, and standards to be used during design and development phases.
Establishes the physical and logical database structure for all databases, including data model, storage, partitioning, indexing, and access patterns.
Maintains application performance and scalability, focusing on performance query tuning, table design, indexing, query plan analysis and SQL refactoring. Reviews queries and database access patterns for opportunities to improve database design or queries. Identifies opportunities to improve the scalability and performance of databases, and pursues to resolution.
Provides technical leadership to developers on efficient queries, access patterns, and algorithms.
Creates data migration strategies and tools. Prepares and deploys complex schema updates and data migrations.
Identifies, assesses, and solves complex technical problems, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors, and applies various tool and automation solutions to drive frequent and quality solutions for an enterprise SaaS platform.
Collaborates and coordinates across multiple disciplines to deliver aligned solutions meeting multiple complex needs that ultimately delivers a world-class experience to the ecosystem Hexure serves.
Works with cybersecurity to ensure secure practices and policies are woven into every aspect of databases design and operations.
Assists in routine database administration activities.
