Position Summary We're looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Part-Time HR Generalist to support our growing team. Reporting to the Director of Operations, this role helps ensure that firm policies, processes, and people operations run smoothly and reflect the professionalism and integrity at the core of our practice. The ideal candidate has hands-on HR experience, a strong grasp of compliance, and familiarity with Gusto for payroll and HR administration. Key Responsibilities • Manage onboarding and offboarding for attorneys, paralegals, and administrative staff • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HR documentation • Support recruitment and hiring processes, including drafting job postings and coordinating interviews • Serve as a resource for team members regarding policies, procedures, and HR questions • Administer payroll changes, time tracking, and contractor payments in Gusto • Assist with policy updates, employee handbook maintenance, and compliance tracking • Partner with the Director of Operations to improve HR systems and workflows • Track PTO, leave requests, and performance review cycles • Help sustain a positive, professional, and collaborative firm culture Qualifications • 3+ years of HR generalist or people operations experience (law firm or professional services background preferred) • Working knowledge of Gusto required • Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices • Excellent communication, organization, and discretion • Self-directed and dependable, with the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment • Available during standard business hours in the Eastern or Central time zones
