Product Content Specialist I – IBT Industrial Solutions – Merriam, KS

PURPOSE: The Product Content Specialist I provides support for IBT's product information management system(s) and e-commerce site. The incumbent will understand the company's overall system architecture with a particular focus on the product details within the IBT ERP. They also will maintain databases and ensure all product content is correct and current. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Create and maintain product-related data with a key emphasis to the IBT ERP Item Master data. Proofread and conduct quality-control checks of product content. Manage and maintain internal keyword databases. Ensure that data and taxonomy is clearly defined and consistently applied. Bulk load data as needed. Maintain data standards. Work closely with project managers and application developers accessing the data. Work closely with product specialists to ensure data integrity. Communicate regularly with technical, applications, and operational staff to ensure database integrity. Performs SQL query lookups and edits as necessary. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience. 2+ years experience in data quality and data integrity maintenance. Proficient in Microsoft Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be well organized and detail oriented. Ability to multitask and troubleshoot issues quickly.
