Remote SQL Database developer and SQL Server administrator

CapB is looking for an MS SQL Database and Support Specialist to join our IT department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our MS SQL databases, performing T-SQL programming, triaging technical issues, and handling customer support requests related to a legacy .NET application. This role requires a deep understanding of MS SQL Server, proficiency in T-SQL, and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure high levels of performance and user satisfaction. This is a part time role, with 20 hrs per week and may require a day in office at Denver , each week for around 4 hrs. ( managers discretion, can be 100% remote) • Issue Triage and Technical Support: Act as the first point of contact for identifying and troubleshooting database-related issues. Prioritize and resolve issues in a timely manner, ensuring minimal impact on operations and customer satisfaction. • Customer and Internal Support: Respond to customer inquiries and support tickets with technical guidance and solutions. Work closely with the agency to understand requirements and deliver support needed for database and application functionalities. • T-SQL Development: Develop and optimize T-SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers for data manipulation and to support application needs. • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain clear documentation for database setups, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Required Skills & Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. • Proven experience in MS SQL Server database administration and T-SQL programming. • Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices. • Ability to effectively triage and resolve complex database issues. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide technical support and guidance to customers and team members. • Familiarity with .NET framework and its integration with MS SQL Server • Experience with case management systems
