Senior Technical Leader – Automation Engineering & Cloud Application Development ($30/Hour)

As a Senior Technical Leader - Automation Engineering & Cloud Application Development, you'll have the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, combining remote work with time in our office. About the Role This position is a key part of our technical leadership team, responsible for driving the engineering group with an automation concentration to follow Starbucks Cloud administration and Global Digital security prerequisites. You'll provide technical expertise, guidance, and leadership to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and secure solutions that meet our business needs. Key Responsibilities • Technical Leadership: Define goals for the work group, develop organizational capacity, and demonstrate how we work together. Drive a team of engineers with an automation concentration to follow Starbucks Cloud administration and Global Digital security prerequisites. • Engineering Configuration Example: Provide engineering configuration examples and automation engineering services to common platform components. • Consultative Services: Offer consultative services for technical issues within the application teams and interact with Starbucks Cloud and Global Digital security teams addressing our application platforms. • Stage Stewardship: Advocate for platform automation efforts to advance platform evolution and reliability to support business needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and strengthen and elevate the platform from a technology perspective. • Accomplish Improvement and Team Building: Provide partners with coaching, feedback, and developmental opportunities, and build effective teams. Ensure partners adhere to legal and operational compliance requirements. • Production Support: Monitor and manage application performance and service quality, including initial investigation, identification of root causes, and issue resolution. Essential Qualifications • Expert industry experience with software development and operations. • Leadership experience in systems or application development activities of all sizes and complexities, including large systems. • Four-year certification in Computer Science or related field. • Strong knowledge of software development principles, practices, and patterns. Preferred Qualifications • Capacity to lead a group of technical specialists that closely construct and work secure, robust, flexible, and accessible solutions. • Working experience in product development teams in a platform engineering role. • Capacity to build automation tools for platform processes for various application pipelines. • Working knowledge of application architecture, infrastructure, and security concepts and technical implementation. • Propensity to grasp new technologies and trends as they become relevant to the business and our infrastructure. • Mastery in understanding the implications of design and implementation decisions toward building secure, scalable, robust, flexible, and accessible solutions. • Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS, or GCP and cloud computing concepts. • Strong hands-on coding and code review skills.
